Common problems during low-pressure casting process

Low pressure casting is widely used in metal processing technology and plays a huge role in China's modern industry. With the widespread use of low pressure casting in China, its drawbacks have also been exposed.
1、 Oxidation slag inclusion
The reason for the occurrence of oxidized slag inclusion is generally due to the uncleanness of the furnace material, or excessive use of the furnace material during use. Another reason can also lead to oxidized slag inclusion during low-pressure casting, which is poor design of the casting system and improper setting during mold filling.
2、 Pore and shrinkage
Pore problems are most common in the process of low-pressure casting. They are generally caused by poor exhaust of the mold tool, poor spraying of the mold coating system, and improper setting of the cooling ring, which can also lead to the generation of pores and shrinkage holes.
3、 Cracks
Cracks are common during low-pressure casting. Unreasonable mold design, sharp corners, and differences in wall thickness can often lead to the occurrence of cracks. To eliminate these cracks, improving the structural design of the mold is an inevitable choice. Only a reasonable mold design can help solve the problem.
Low pressure casting technology is widely used in processing technology in China, and with the development of technology, its drawbacks are becoming increasingly apparent. Only by analyzing the root causes of problems can we better solve them.
